Twenty-three years building the web
I first touched a computer in fifth grade. No one taught me, but I tuned Windows 98 through the night, and in my first year of middle school I took silver at a homepage design contest.
I've built websites for twenty-three years since. Founding an agency, building a shopping-mall platform, working in e-commerce development — through all of it I learned in my bones what a customer actually wants from a site. In 2024 I founded Saeroon, and now I'm turning that answer into a service.
These days AI draws the screen fast. What I take on is getting that screen to where it's actually in use: inquiries coming in, members building up, bookings and payments that don't fall out of line.
A path learned without a mentor — and then, a tool
Years of learning without a mentor
There was a team, but no mentor. I taught myself and passed it on to teammates — the ones learning grew fast while my own growth came slower, but I never strayed from building for the web. When self-teaching hit a wall, I started an open KakaoTalk room for developers, designers, and planners myself, keeping company with more than a hundred people, and ran offline study groups regularly.
The first mentor I met: AI
I paid for AI coding tools one by one and tried them myself, then wrote my first code with Claude. Since then, I write all code together with AI. I work fast, but I choose what stays.
The 2017 business plan
In 2017, I wrote this in a business plan: build homepages that small business owners can use with ease, gather the structures used most often into a frame, and go on to the more demanding fields. What Saeroon is building now is exactly that picture.
I closed what I had built
Once, by my own hand, I closed a site editor I had poured care into. A site that runs without stalling came before features that decorate the screen. Looking good lasts three days; real satisfaction comes from the part you don't see.
The bottom, and the answer
Once I set my main work aside and turned to investing, losing all my startup capital; at the company that followed, my health gave out and I stepped away from work for a while. At that bottom I learned two things: look away and the main work collapses, and with the right tools in hand you can build again.
Now
I still wake up and pick up what I was building yesterday. Plan, verify, build again. Some nights run through to morning, but each day moves a step past the last.

What I'm building these days
I build the site the customer wants, exactly as they want it. If shopping, booking, content, or members are needed, I pick the platform that fits, Cafe24 or Imweb for instance, and when nothing ready-made fits, I build it myself.
I don't start from scratch every time. Twenty-three years have left me ways of working, so a site opens sooner. And as a business separate from production, I'm building one hosting service of its own.

I still do the building myself
